How to export a GPX from Komoot

Komoot exports both completed tours and planned routes as GPX files, from the website and from the app.

On the website

  1. Open komoot.com and go to your profile → Tours.
  2. Open the completed or planned tour you want.
  3. Click the three-dots (⋯) menu and choose “Export GPX file”.

On your phone

  1. In the Komoot app, open the tour.
  2. Tap the ⋯ menu → “Export GPX file”, then share/save the file to your phone.
  3. You can upload straight from your phone — the poster editor works on mobile.

Completed tour vs planned tour

A completed tour carries your real time (the poster auto-fills time and pace). A planned route has no times — type your own finish into the editable stats.
